This is our new PDF printable sewing pattern: The Cutout Cardigan. The PDF sewing pattern file includes a basic knit top (tank top, short and long sleeves) and a pair of leggings!!!

THE PATTERN

I have been planning to add a cardigan to our pattern collection for some time, but I truly wanted something different from what I have seen online.

I loved the idea of a cutout light weight cardigan that I can use during the beginning of the spring season or on a trip to the beach; adding a simple knit top and leggings was just the ideal set to create this outfit.

So, here is the result:

THE PATTERN FEATURES:

THREE different patterns:

CARDIGAN:

cutout cardigan
easy on fold neckline
long sleeves
low hip length

2. TOP:

scoop neckline
tank top, short and long sleeves options
high hip length

3. LEGGINGS:

Calf and ankle length leggings
diagonal front and back decorative seams
high waistband

FABRIC RECOMMENDED:

This pattern works well with a stable knit fabric for the cardigan and jersey knit fabric for the top.

The leggings pattern works well for an active wear knit fabric or a ponte roma with a great recovery (the one in the picture was made with ponte roma)

SIZES: From 4 to 22

PLEASE NOTICE THAT THE FINISHED GARMENTS HAVE:

2 inches ease for the tank top

5 inches of ease for the cardigan

-4 inches of ease for the leggings

FABRIC REQUIREMENT:

3/4 yard for tank top option

1 1/4 yard for short sleeves top option

1 1/2 yard for long sleeve top option

1 3/4 for the cardigan option

1 3/4 for the leggings option

NOTIONS NEEDED:

coordinating cotton or polyester thread
