Hello there,

Thank you for visiting us today!  I am thrilled to present this giveaway, especially because you can participate and choose with us the best collection for next year.

It is giveaway time!!!

Help us to choose and win big

On the Cutting Floor and our PDF  pattern design company has grown steadily for the last 4 years; we are growing and constantly looking for ideas to include in our designs.

We would like to grow into a subsidiary collection of patterns but we have not decided what to do next:  Kids clothing collection with a modern approach or purses and handbags for women.

I personally love both ideas, and if I had the time they were both included into the main collection.  However, it is only fair to say that I will need to pursue one at a time.

So, What collection would YOU like to see next?

KIDS CLOTHING?

PURSES AND HANDBAGS?

  1. I’d love to see some cool modern kids’ patterns. I’m a one purse kind of lady, but with 4 kids, kids’ patterns, especially ones that come in all sizes are much much used.

  2. I say Kids clothes, I myself would not benefit from this as I no longer have any kids to sew for. But I do know how horribly high the prices of kids cloths can be. So I think that would be the best think to offer.

  3. Il would préférence purses and handbags but I think IT would be more pratical for parents kids clothes.

  4. Definitely A!
High quality, well designed sewing patterns for modern kids’ clothes are hard to come by, while there are so many bag patterns out there already.

  5. I vote for kids clothing. There are thousands of purse & bag patterns, but few child’s clothing items.

  6. I would like to see kid’s clothing. Having a child who is hard to fit in RTW clothes, it is nice to be able to customize something.

  7. It’s tough to decide, but I think I’d start with purses and bags. I carry different bags for different times, I switch between several.

  8. I would love to see more kids patterns, I have three grandkids to sew for and love to give handmade clothes to them!

  9. Kids’ clothing, definitely.

There are so many patterns available for bags and purses, but finding good quality, well fitting, modern patterns for children is very difficult.

  10. I’d prefer to see kids’ patterns, especially classic styles that lend themselves to multiple variations. Something we don’t see much of is shorts for little boys that have a flat waist band in the front. Stuff like that

  11. Kids’ clothing, definitely.

There are so many great patterns available for bags and purses, but it is increasingly harder to find good quality, well fitting, modern patterns for children.

  12. There are a lot of purse patterns already on the market. Kids clothes aren’t that different from what they were 10 to 15 years ago, just the accessories and so forth are different. You will have to decide which way to go that will help you grow your business the best. Good luck

  13. Both! I have a toddler boy and a tween girl so kids clothes would be a quick and simple make *BUT* I also have a love affair with hand bags. I would totally buy ALL the bags if you guys released a bag pattern! *fingers crossed

  14. This is hard for me. I have a five year old that I sew for and I love bags/purses! I plan to make a small carpet bag purse soon and I just made 7 pairs of shorts for my daughter. Ugh! I can’t decide. I think I should pick purses/bags. I do have a lot of children’s patterns. Okay there it is. Whew!!

  15. Kids’ clothing, please!
After all, it takes a village so everyone has a child (or 2, or 3, or 4 …) in their lives.

  16. Kids clothes! I no longer have children at home and would not benefit from them at this time, but children’s clothes can be so expensive & they outgrow them so fast! And it would be nice to have simple patterns that the children themselves would be able to make their own items! My daughter made some of her own clothes through the Sewing project in 4-H and was always so excited to pick out a pattern, and then the material, to make something that only she would have.

  17. My children are grown and the grandchildren are too grownup to sew for. Personally, I would have to vote for the handbag patterns. However, realistically I believe the patterns for children would be more beneficial in producing income. It seems there are handbag patterns in every sewing magazine, sewing blog, and speciality publications.

  18. I love both ideas but I think I would love to see some kids clothing – especially in toddler and infant sizes. I’m really excited about your expansion. You always have lots of cute things.

  19. I love purses, but there are so many purse patterns out there. I don’t have any children right now, but still like to see simple, but stylish kid’s clothes.

So, I vote for kids clothes.

  20. I’d rather see more Handbags because of my lack of kids to sew for 😉 But I think a Combination (Cute Backpacks for Kids,….) would be adoreable!

  21. I would like to see purses & handbags – I love making clothes, but it is lovely to have a challenge – making handbags would provide that. I would like to have a pattern provider who could give tips for using different materials such as kraft-tex & leather (faux or real) as I have not ventured into this side of Sewing yet!

  22. I would love purses and handbags. I have made two – a heart shaped purse for my niece, and a small purse for me. It would be nice to know some good tips and patterns.

  23. I would like either but would especially like to see some different styles of kid’s clothes. Most of what is out there is just a small variation on what is alrady available.
