Learn How to Sew: 5 Easy Steps to Get the Best of it
HOW TO USE A SEWING MACHINE:
If you are looking to start sewing, I will highly recommend to learn how to use your sewing machine from an expert. I have bought a few machines in the past, and I always regret not to take a class or learn the a few steps beforehand.
It will save you time and you can get the best out of your new machine. Here is a great tutorial
SEWING 101 VIDEOS:
One of the easiest way to learn about sewing is by watching videos online. You will be able to find a great database of sewing tutorials and fun projects here
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF FREE E-BOOKS AND SEWING PATTERNS ONLINE:
Before investing a great amount of money on expensive fabrics and patterns, I will advice you to start with some free e-books and patterns online. Here you will be able to find thousands of great ideas to make and learn how to sew!
LEARN ABOUT SEWING DESIGNERS:
There is also a great group of designers that you can learn from; their websites are full of great advise about sewing, PDF patterns and sewing tutorials. Keep this list close!
HOW TO PURCHASE FABRICS ONLINE:
One of the greatest things about the Online Sewing Community is to be introduced to new fabric stores online. I spend so much time looking at the gorgeous fabric collections you can find. But be careful how you spend your money!
The best way to learn and choose the store you like the most is by ordering swatches of fabrics; in this way you might learn about the fabric store customer services, shipping polices and product quality.
And that is all!
Thank you for reading this post and happy sewing 🙂
