The New year’s’ Resolution list
People often say that it is never late to make a new resolution, and New Years always bring the opportunity to do so in a big scale. So, I have a few New Year’s resolutions that I wanted to share with you.
They are all related to my sewing: the outfits I would love to try and how to get there with the appropriate skills.

HERE IS MY LIST:
A tailored jacket functions like magic; it can add beauty, personality and dimension to a wardrobe, plus it allows certain versatility as well.
In addition, this 70’s trend is ideal for adding a beautiful jacket like the ones here:

Now, the question is: How do I do that?
There are two classes at Craftsy that would be incredibly useful in order to learn the necessary techniques to make a nice jacket.

Listen here, I am in serious need of a wardrobe update. So far, I have made very useful items to add to my closet: tops, simple blouses, and loose fit pants.
However, in my dream closet, I have lovely and fun clothes to go for a coffee with my friends. …I also have these shoes 🙂
How about this Robert Kaufman linen for the jumpsuit?

Ok, this is not a necessity, but it is certainly something that I would like to try. I know nothing about the techniques behind the creation of a beautiful lingerie and I am ready to learn!
I should probably start by purchasing this Oh Lulu bra . It has very good reviews here, plus it looks comfy and

In order to make these beauties, I am thinking of getting the Sewing Lingerie: Essential Techniques by the amazing Alison Smith.
Seriously, you can’t go wrong with her 😉

I dream of having a tailored, sophisticated shirt to wear. Can’t this be more stunning?
Now, I have taking the Classic Tailored Shirt by Pam Howard and it has helped me a lot. She is a wonderful instructor and super easy techniques to apply. I have watched the class a few times already and I love it more everytime.
If you are still looking to learn more techniques, I would suggest this class by the incredibly talented David Page Coffin
A good pattern to get you started? The Sewaholic Patterns Granville shirt for sure:
What better combination than a tailored shirt and a well fitted pair of jeans? Classic, classic, classic, am I right?
No one can deny the importance of a good pair of jeans in a wardrobe, and it is essential and versatile; practical and fun to wear.
So, I would probably need to dig into Sewing Designer Jeans by Angela Wolf; I have read good reviews on this class and I can’t wait to start making my own jeans.
Finally, I want to end up my new year’s resolution with a dress appropriately chose for the occasion:
Victoria Beckham
I love this dress because of it stunning dressmaking techniques: comfy-looking , easy to wear with the right structure on the bodice and a gorgeous asymmetrical skirt.
Besides, I am glad I had taking this Couture Dressmaking Techniques class. I am sure to be checking it again for further reference.
So, this is all for me today. What are your New Year’s Resolution?
