Hi there!
Attempting to make this dress today – looks easy enough for a beginner like me! One thing though, you don’t indicate that you need to cut two of the waistband piece anywhere (and don’t have a picture of the back) so just thought you might want to add that to the tutorial!
Thanks!
Katie

Hi Kathy, Thanks for letting me know 🙂 It is time to revisit the tutorial then.
Happy sewing!

Will this pattern work with cotton fabric? Not knit, so no stretch… If I added a zipper on the side I can’t see a problem with the waist and bust, but I’m not so sure about the sleeves. I am horrible at adjusting patterns for sleeves, so I’m just curious what you would say…

Hi Resi,
Thank you for your question. I would be very cautious about using a non stretch fabric on this dress. The dress has 1 inch of negative ease on it. This means that it stretches to the body to give you a nice fit. The bodice and pattern have been made for a stretch fabric. If you want to try on a no so stretch fabric, I will try on stretch denim or cotton sateen; woven fabrics with about 3 to 7% stretch on it, and cut 1 size bigger than your own.
