Reversible coffee cozy

April 27, 2014 by Daniela Leave a Comment

free coffee cozy online, free sewing patterns, for beginners, free sewing patterns online, free printable sewing patterns to download, free tutorials

Eco-friendly, sustainable and practical.  This reversible coffee warmer is ideal to take on your trips, use with your daily coffee or make as a gift!I love the fact that it is reversible, giving me the options to express myself through it (I made mine feminine on one side and hipster on the other, I flip according to the day).

About the pattern

Materials:

1.  2 1/8 pieces of main fabric- it can be made with cotton prints, canvas, corduroy, denim, flannel, etc.
2.  Quilt batting or a thicker fabric (think fleece) to use inside and give some weight to the project.
3.  1/2 yard of corded piping
4.  Scissors
5.  Matching thread
6.  Pins
7. Four 7 inches long ribbon straps

Instructions

1. Place both main fabrics, right sides facing.

2.  Place your quilt batting (or fleece 🙂 ) at the top of them.

3.  Place the corded piping BETWEEN THE TWO MAIN FABRICS.

4.  Pin it, be careful to pin the 3 layers of fabric, plus the corded piping.

5.  Cut 4 straps 6 inches long.6.  Place two each side between the two main fabrics, leaving 2 inches separation between them.

7.  Pin them and sew along.  Leave one of the sides open.

And it is ready to go!  I hope you enjoy this project and come back for more 🙂

8. Turn it around.9.  Fold the open side  and place the remaining two straps inside by 1 inch. Then sew along the area.
