This is the post for Tutorial: How to make the Yoga Skirt and Sally skirt
Both patterns share the same tutorial since there is one difference between them: the volume of the skirt. Sally is an A-line skirt, hence there is less volume; while the Yoga skirt is a semi circle skirt pattern.

Thank you Francoise!
Can’t wait to make one – but now my girls have seen this pattern, so I’ll be taking mini-me’s with me to the fabric store, we’ll see what they come up with! Neither of them has much experience with knit, so this is an awesome way to get started!
Quick question – can we use the serger for the side seams?
Thank you! Era
P.S. I wish it wasn’t 4-H Fair Season so we could start now 🙂 I’m so excited to do this! I hate shorts on me – but it’s only May 3rd and has been in the 90’s all week! I need this skirt!!!
Hi Eran,
Thank you for your comment. Yes, you can use a serger for it, just remember to reduce the seams since the serger works better with a 1/4 inch seam allowance and my patterns have 3/8 inch seam allowance.
Happy Sewing!
