Hi, I am Daniela, the blogger behind On the Cutting Floor.
I am a former ESL teacher and volunteer firefighter with a love for sewing. My dad, a former tailor’s assistant taught me how to use my first sewing machine 9 years ago. Our first project together was a strapless dress with a full circle maxi skirt. I kept that dress for a long time
He also taught me how to draft my first project. I was so enlightening that I always felt empowered to make my own garments, from scratch.
I started this blog in 2014 and it quickly become my passion: I love sharing PDF Sewing patterns and sewing tips that I find useful and practical for the community.
My personal style is casual and modern, with a mix of feminine and masculine.
