This beautiful dress is one of our readers’ favorite free pattern from our collection.  We are happy to bring it back to you with this classic and sophisticated summer look.

MATERIALS

1 1/2 yards of knit fabric
Printed patterns
Matching thread
Ballpoint needle
Scissors

ABOUT THE FABRIC

The fabric chosen for this project is the gorgeous  Telio Bamboo Knit Fabric from our store.
This is a 100% organic knit fabric with a lustrous texture and an excellent drape, ideal for dresses and summer tops.

Printing Instructions:

This printable PDF pattern is assembled BY OVERLAPPING THE PAGES 1/2 INCH.  That will make it easier to assemble and avoid further fitting issues.The pattern comes in letter size paper.To print this pattern, go the PDF document. Select  FILE — PRINT.
This will be the layout of your pattern:It will print 32 pages. Wait until all the pages are printed before taking them from the printer; it will make it easier to assemble.When finish printing, place the pages as the layout below. Then use tape to put them together. Now cut the pieces.I have purposely erased the numbers from those pages that do not have any lines.  In that case, you will be able to save some pages for your future projects.

THE COLORS FOR EACH SIZE

4:  Black
6:  Red
8:  Green
10:  Blue
12:  Orange
14:  Purple
16:  Yellow
18:  Pink
20:  Light Green
22:  Brown
This pattern comes with a 3/8  inch seam allowance, unless indicated otherwise.

Yardage: For 60” wide fabric:  1 1/2 yards

INSTRUCTIONS

1.  Place the pockets on the sides of the dress, right sides together and sew. Follow the marks to place the pockets at the correct height.

Note: each pocket side is placed together with each side of the dress.

2.  Place both dress sides together, right sides facing. Pin and sew the sides, including your pockets.  Remember to leave the opening for the pocket.

3.  Close the shoulders.

4.  Fold the armhole and neckline by ½ inch. Pin and sew along.

5.  Make the shirring waistband by following the marks on your pattern. I have made 5 lines divided by ½ inch distance from each other.

Finish your dress by making the hemline ½ inch thick.
