FREE PATTERN ALERT:

The Brianna Dress Pattern

I am glad to present a new free pattern made using Patternmaker USA.

20150918065645I was very pleased with the results of the software. It, not only, has given a more professional look to the patterns, but it has also sped up the process by about 4 times!If you want to learn more about Patternmaker, please visit its website today.

THE PATTERN

This stunning dress design is as easy as it can get: it takes about 1 1/2 hour to make from cutting to hemming and you will love the results: fitted at bust point and draped on the side to create a gorgeous loose fit hemline.

Make this dress in a beautiful ponte roma (as the sample here) to get a dramatic drape or use a lighter weight, jersey fabric for a casual look.

THE BRIANNA DRESS FEATURES

A loose fit draped dress with an asymmetrical neckline and 3/4 length sleeves.

    Hi Daniela

What a fantastic design, thank you for making it available to all of us amateur sewists.

I wonder whether it would be possible to make it with the gathered skirt on both sides – forming a balloon-style dress? I’ve been hunting for a pattern for one for ever, and this could be the perfect answer, but I’d appreciate your expertise on whether it could work.

      Hi Gillian,

thank you for your question. I think it will be possible, as long as the side seam is deleted and the pattern is cut with a center seam (front and back)
I like that style too with a draped dress on both sides 🙂
