THE PATTERN
I am glad to present a new free pattern made using Patternmaker USA.
I was very pleased with the results of the software. It, not only, has given a more professional look to the patterns, but it has also speeded up the process by about 4 times!
If you want to learn more about Patternmaker, please visit its website today.
I have created this pattern for my 4 year old son. He is a huge fan of Thomas the Tank Engine, so for the last year, I have been thinking of making something special for him.
Funny enough, he is not a big fan of hats, of any kind; so he is really making an effort to look like a train conductor for the pictures 😉
The pattern comes in size 4 years, which I think is the age kids get hooked on Thomas the Engine show.
LEVEL: intermediate
MATERIALS:
1 1/2 yards of medium weight woven
2 small buttons
1/4 yard of interfacing
1 piece of scrap for the hat
RECOMMENDED FABRICS:
Medium weight woven fabric will be ideal. I only found this lightweight denim on my local store and I decided to work with it, because it has the stripes I needed.
You might want to use: linen, denim, cotton sateen, twill, corduroy, wool.
PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS:
The pattern comes in letter, A4 format. The pages OVERLAY 1 inch.
Please notice that there might be small differences from printer to printer.
Remember to check the ”actual size” printing option:
Please print all pages and place them as shown in the following printing layout:
